More than $6000 in cash are being awarded along with thousands more in business resources.

MIX Santa Fe and The New Mexico Technology Council have announced the winners of the first Mobile App Development Challenge in New Mexico.

The winners are a diverse and creative group that range from bus tracking and finding a good parking space to smile reminders and film
location trivia.

The “Made by Mix” Mobile Apps Challenge, was a collaborative effort between MIX Santa Fe (an effort in part by the city of Santa Fe’s Economic Development Division), the New Mexico Technology Council (NMTC) with crucial support from additional sponsors.  It brought together designers, developers and others to build smartphone applications that serve the local community.

 

“We have a vibrant technology sector in Santa Fe and this challenge really put that on display.  The variety of creative apps that have been developed is truly impressive and they’ll be great for both tourists and locals,” said Mayor David Coss.

During the initial “App Jam Weekend” the following prized were awarded:

$250 Winner (Backstory Santa Fe)
